Gracious Professionalism
We compete hard and treat every team with respect, on the field and off it.
About
Student-led FIRST Tech Challenge team building robots, skills, and community in San Jose.
01Our story
Founded in 2021, FTC Kronos Team #20791 was started by students dedicated to STEM. What began as a small group has grown into a diverse team of more than twenty members, supported by mentors, parents, and sponsors.
We compete in the FIRST Tech Challenge each season—from kickoff in September through qualifying events in winter—while sharing robotics with our community through outreach.
02Mission
“To design and build competitive robots, develop real engineering skills, and inspire the next generation of students through hands-on outreach.”
We compete hard and treat every team with respect, on the field and off it.
Members gain real engineering experience in CAD, fabrication, electronics, and software.
Outreach brings STEM to younger students and keeps robotics growing in San Jose.
03Our journey
Highlights from our seasons in the FIRST Tech Challenge.
Kronos is founded by a small group of students. In our first season we earn the Think Award (2nd Place) and the Motivate Award (2nd Place).
The team wins the Control Award at the Piedmont Qualifying Tournament for its software and sensor work.
At the Oakland Qualifying Tournament we reach the finals as a first-pick alliance partner and earn the Connect and Motivate Awards.
Our outreach and community partnerships are recognized with the Connect Award at Santa Clara.
More than twenty members across mechanical, programming, and outreach head into the 2026–2027 season.
